ISP and datacenter
IP whitelist
On ISP and datacenter orders you can let your own servers connect without a username and password. The whitelist is managed on the order page and applies to every proxy in the order.

Adding an address#
Open the order
My orders, then the ISP or datacenter order.
Find Connection settings, IP whitelist
The field is already filled with the address we see you connecting from.
Add it, or type another one
To whitelist a server, enter that server's public address, not your own. Add each address separately.
# From the server you want to whitelist: find its public address
curl https://api.ipify.org
# After adding it to the order, connect with no credentials at all
curl -x http://HOST:PORT https://api.ipify.orgHow it behaves#
- The whitelist covers every proxy in the order.
- Only the exact address you added is let in without credentials. Everyone else can still connect with the username and password.
- IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are both accepted.
- Addresses can be removed at any time from the same place.
When it is the right choice#
- Servers with a fixed public address.
- Tools that cannot send a proxy password, such as Chrome started by Selenium with
--proxy-server. - Setups where you do not want credentials stored in configs.
It is the wrong choice for laptops, home connections and cloud functions whose address changes: the moment the address changes, the proxy answers 407.
