Telegram WEB proxy
A WEB proxy keeps Telegram's own encryption but carries the connection as ordinary HTTPS to a website on port 443. To the network it looks like someone visiting that site.

Who it is for#
MTProto works in every official Telegram app and is the default choice. A WEB proxy is for networks where MTProto connects but keeps getting slowed down, because it hides Telegram inside the kind of traffic such filtering lets through.
Which apps support it#
| App | Support |
|---|---|
| Telegram Desktop | Opens WEB proxy links |
| Android, iOS | Support is arriving gradually. Update the app first. If the link still does nothing or opens a website, that build does not support WEB proxies yet: use MTProto on that device |
Connecting#
Buy it on the same Telegram page with the switch set to WEB Proxy. The order page shows the link and Add to Telegram. There is no server or port to pick: the address is fixed.
tg://webproxy?server=SERVER&secret=SECRETLimits#
- Up to 5 devices, like MTProto.
- The server in the link is ours and cannot be replaced with your own domain.
- Same terms and prices as MTProto.
- Networks that only let through an approved list of services cannot be passed by WEB or by MTProto.
