Changing the IP
A mobile device gets a new address from the carrier when it reconnects. You can ask for that on demand from the order page, or, on US devices, let it happen on a timer.

On demand#
Open the order
My orders, then the mobile order.
Press Change IP
The device reconnects to the carrier. This takes the better part of twenty seconds, and the button shows progress until the new address arrives.
Reconnect your client
Connections that were open during the change are dropped. Open new ones.
On a timer#
On US devices Automatic rotation makes the device take a new address on its own at the interval you pick. On demand only switches it off. The same 5 minute minimum applies. UK devices change the IP on demand only.
IP history#
Some devices report every address they have had, with the time and whether the change was manual or by timer. Others do not keep a history, so check your order page before relying on it.
When to change it#
- The target blocked or flagged the current address. A new IP fixes this, a new device is not needed.
- You start a new account or a new identity.
- The device reports Connected but traffic stalls. A reconnect often clears it. If it does not, write to support.
